20 they die in deadly gang clashes in Ogun state

At least 20 people were reportedly killed and many others were injured in varying degrees of severity during clashes between sects in parts of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

As our correspondent learned, the incidents began two weeks ago, as a result of which at least 20 people died, including innocent people.

A source in Ijebu-Ode told our reporter that Aye and the Aye Brotherhood were involved in a confrontation, as a result of which the residents of Ijebu-Ode and its surroundings fell into serious panic.

The results showed that the affected areas are Epe garage, Ejinrin road, Adefisan, Ibadan garage, Onirugba and Tatin, old Benin-Ondo road and others.

The source said the woman and her daughter, who were riding a commercial tricycle, popularly called the Marwa, were killed in the accident.

According to the source, members of a rival cult group attacked a tricycle rider who belonged to another cult group.

In addition, members of the frightening group killed an apprentice after his arm was cut off during another fight.

Several people were reportedly killed in Epe’s garage, Ejinrin Street, Ibadan’s and Adefisan’s garage during sectarian clashes that forced people to flee in search of safety.

It was also found that several people died at Onirugba, the old road Benin-Ondo, Oke-Ova.

It is reported that on Monday two people were killed behind the famous hotel in Oka-Azha.

When contacted, State Police Officer Abimbola Oyemi confirmed the incident but denied that innocent people had been killed.
