20-year-old woman caught 2 months after stealing Alaba Lawson’s phone
Ogun State Police Command arrested a 20-year-old suspect who allegedly stole a cell phone belonging to business tycoon Yorubaland and Iyaloda Alaba Lawson at a shopping center in Abeokuta, IgbereTV reported.

The suspect, identified as Maureen Ohakamike, was tracked down to Lekki, Lagos by Isheri-Magodo unit agents after two months of intensive investigation and search.
Speaking to reporters at a crime scene in Abeokuta on Tuesday, February 2, the suspect confessed to stealing her phone when Iyalode left her bag on the seat while being assisted by photographers from the business center.
According to the suspect, after the theft of the phone, he immediately turned it off and hid it in the business center while the victim and employees were looking for him.
Iyalode Lawson was found at a mall in Abeokuta last December and was taking a picture when his phone was stolen. The incident was subsequently reported to the police and the authorities promptly launched an investigation.
