23-year-old robber detained in Lagos
A notorious 23-year-old armed robber who was identified as Fatai Ismai, also known as the little one, terrorized the residents of Langbasa, Aja, Lagos District, was arrested by the Lagos State Police Headquarters.
Fatia was arrested by the police, with the help of some community members, when he went to attack a supermarket at a bus stop in Folarin, Aja district on November 29, 2020.
Command spokesman Muiiva Adejobi said in a statement that the suspect, who confirmed he was a cultist, was arrested by the police command in 2017 for a similar crime and charged in court.
“He was arrested with a locally made pistol and several cartridges, which he claimed were acquired by a man (name withheld) who is currently at large,” he said.
Likewise, commanders arrested nine arsonists who set fire to the local government secretariat of Ajeromi Ifelodun on October 20, 2020 during the recent violent EndSARS protest in Lagos state.
The suspects included Abdulganiyah Khabib, 30; Adetunji Senyi, 27 years old; Ahmed Animashahun, 28 years old; Alwoonle Laval, 28; Taiwo Nuah, 19 years old and four others.
