23-year-old woman beat her husband to death in Abuja during an argument

Gift Paul, 23, was jailed after she beat her husband to death in Abuja.

The order was issued on Tuesday by the District Court of the First Degree in Kubwa, Abuja.

Police accused Paul of burglary, assault and serious injury.

Judge Muhammad Adamu postponed the case until February 5 for a hearing.

Adam, however, stated that the issue of bail for the defendant could be considered before the next updated date if the defense attorney files a formal request for bail.

Earlier, prosecutor John Okpa told the court that Paul’s ex-husband, Mr. Destiny Adams, who lives in Kubwa, reported this to Byazhin’s police department on January 7.

Okpa claimed that Paul and his brother Isaiah invaded Adams’ house with sabers and wounded him in the head and body.

According to him, the crime violates the provisions of Articles 246, 348 and 265 of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Paul pleaded not guilty to prosecution.

He said his meeting with Adams was not about other people.

Defense attorney Taye Okoya filed an oral application for bail on Paul’s behalf, stating that his client should be presumed innocent until proven innocent.
