A man allegedly stabbed his younger brother in Edo
The tragic incident occurred when a man identified as Kadir allegedly stabbed his younger brother Suleiman to death for confronting his wife in Auchi, Etsako local government district in Edo state.
It turned out that the problems began on the morning of Friday, February 19, when Suleiman scolded Qadir’s wife for being rude to her mother.
Qadir, who was not at home when the quarrel broke out, challenged his younger brother for daring to scold his wife when he returned.
It is said that their mother intervened and resolved the quarrel between the two brothers.
However, a dissatisfied Qadir is said to have reconsidered the matter on the same day, and again the mother intervened and calmed the situation.
It is reported that Suleiman left the matter and went about his business as usual. Kadir later tracked him down, where he went late at night, allegedly stabbed him with a knife and fled.
Suleiman was rushed to hospital on Friday evening, where he died Saturday morning from injuries sustained in the attack.
Edo State Police Spokesman Princeville Osaigbowo, who confirmed the incident, said the victim died in St. Jude’s Hospital, where he was rushed for treatment.
