A man got pregnant from a 17-year-old neighbor, gave her 15k for an abortion

The man was brought before a Sharia court in Zaria on suspicion of a neighbor’s pregnancy.

The woman’s father, Malam Hussain Abubakar, told a Sharia court in Sabon Gari, Zaria on Tuesday that her neighbor’s son Rabiu Ibrahim had become pregnant with his daughter and gave him $ 15,000 to terminate the pregnancy.

On December 12, 2020, Ibrahim went to court to intervene in the case of Abubakar and his daughter, who announced that he would become pregnant.

As a witness statement, Abubakar said: “My daughter told me that Ibrahim became pregnant. I reported this to the Kasuvar Mata Sabon Gari police station and the police took action and detained him.

“His reports, led by the actor’s uncle, Danbal Waje, and the head of Jushin Waje’s department, Malam Sule, contacted me for a global deal.

“I was given 15,000 N to terminate my pregnancy. I told them that my religion does not approve of abortion and I do not, ”she said.

He said his daughter endured the pregnancy on time.

“When she got into labor, I called the actor’s uncle and he promised to raise $ 15,000 to pay medical bills.

My daughter gave birth to a child, and neither the plaintiff nor his relatives came to visit the child.

“Three days after the birth of the child, I instructed my wife to take the child to the plaintiff’s family, and they abandoned the child,” he said.

When the presiding judge Shitu Umar asked the plaintiff about the money, he denied that he had given Abubakar 15,000 N 15,000 for an abortion.

He said: “It was my uncle who gave him money (Abubakar)”,

After hearing testimony, Judge Umar postponed the hearing until January 19 for further hearing.
