A man stabs his older brother on the ground to death
Police arrested a 64-year-old man for stabbing his 78-year-old brother during a land dispute.
Witnesses alleged that Jeffrey Hayega Mayungu stabbed his brother, James Tembete Hayega, after a dispute over a piece of land left by their late brother.
Their neighbors said that the young man did not want to share land with his older brother after their relatives died without children.
The incident occurred at Kaptech in Khamisi, Vihiga District, Kenya.
Khamisi, OCPD, Joanna Chebiya, who confirmed the incident, urged Kenyans to adopt more effective conflict resolution mechanisms to avoid unnecessary deaths.
The body of the deceased was transported to the Kaimoshi morgue, and the murder suspect was taken to the Serem police station awaiting trial.
