The missing Nigerian pastor appears in a new video by Boko Haram asking the government and the church to save him.
According to SaharaReporters, the recently disappeared Nigerian pastor Rev. Polikap Zango was in Boko Haram’s video.
The pastor of the Church of Christ in Nations, Jos, Plateau State, who went missing while traveling to Gombe State for a conference, appeared in a new video stating that he was kidnapped from the Islamic State province of West Africa.
Zango said she was in rebel custody along with two other Christian women who were also kidnapped.
In the video, the priest sits behind a prayer rug and claims to have been kidnapped on Monday, October 2020.
He said, “My name is Reverend Polykap Zango and I am the pastor at COCIN LCC Wildlife Park, Plateau State, Nigeria.
“On October 19, 2020, I was on my way to a conference in Gombe when I was abducted by the Boko Haram rebels and caught me on the street.
“Right now I’m with them.
“I appeal to the Governor of the Plateau State Simon Boco Lalong and the North Plateau Senator, Attorney ID Gyang, as well as the Christian Association of Nigeria and COCIN to help save me from their hands.
“They also kidnapped two Christian women who are also here with me, we ask them to save them.”
It is unclear if Ms. Fayina Ali, a Kaduna native of Adamawa State, who allegedly also disappeared on the same Monday when she was captured, is between the two Zongos mentioned.
Miss Ali unveiled her wedding on the weekend of her disappearance due to a marriage to the Air Force, scheduled for December 2020.
She was reportedly captured along with four other Boko Haram women, but there was no clear information about them.
