A Nigerian man who has just returned from South Africa died at a party in Lagos.

According to SaharaReporters, five friends were arrested by Lagos State Police for the death of a South African returnee.

Friends were caught in the death of a certain Mr. Endurance Herault, who had just returned from South Africa, and he was meeting with suspects at a party in the Surulere area.

Police officers reported in an incident report received by SaharaReporter that Ero fainted while drinking with friends – two men and three women – and was taken to Randle Hospital, Surulere, where some of the doctors on duty pronounced him dead.

Site C agents subsequently arrested five friends identified as Calvin Ajayi, Endurance Ajayi and the women, Hope Igbinedion, Miracle Ubani, and Chinasu Anthony.

Family sources told Sahara Reporter that the deceased returned from South Africa on October 17, and the next day decided to go with his friends to the Rush Guest House, located on Oekan Street in Surulere.

In a police report, Ero’s mother, Matunwo Chichi, said: “My son and his friend Osagi returned from South Africa on October 17 at around 3:00 pm. Then, around 6:00 pm on the same day, he left the house, wanting to visit his friend’s mother, but did not return.

“On October 18, at about 11 am, I received a call and was told that he was rushed to Randle General Hospital, Surulere, and when I arrived I met him in a wheelchair with blood flowing from his mouth and nose. Then the doctors on duty pronounced him dead. “
Although no direct link to the returnee’s death has yet been established, the police report said the suspects and the case were referred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Panti, Yaba, for “covert investigation.”

The police report said: “The preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was in the company of Calvin Ajaya, Endurance Ajaya and the women, Hope Igbinedion, Miracle Ubani and Chinasa Anthony, and went to drink at a guest house called Rush. on Oekan street, Surulere.

“The deceased suddenly lost consciousness and vomited blood in his mouth and nose. He was urgently taken to hospital, but the doctors on duty pronounced him dead. Photographs of his corpse were taken and his body was taken to the main hospital, Yaba, for an autopsy.

“The aforementioned suspects have been arrested and the case will be referred to SKID, Panti, Yaba for covert investigation.”
