Abigail Makinde is dead: Governor Seiya Makinde’s mother dies. Olubadan crying

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinda’s mother, Ms. Abigail Makinda, has passed away.

According to a statement by the Governor’s older brother on behalf of the family, Chief Muyiva Makinda, Ms. Makinda left early yesterday morning for Ibadan at the age of 81.

Elder Makinda, whose name is Jagun Olubadan, said: “In total obedience to the will of Almighty God, early Thursday morning, October 15, we announce the transition into the great afterlife of our mother, Ms. Abigail Makinda, 2020.”

Meanwhile, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, an olubadan from Ibadanland, described the disappearance of Madame Abigail Makinda as a sudden shock.

The monarch, who announced this in his Popoyemoja, the palace of Ibadan, recalled that the late Madame Makinda was in the palace on September 11, 2020 to witness the erection of some chiefs in Ibadan, including her son Muyiva Makinda, since Jagun Olubadan is from Ibadanland.

In addition, Osi Olubadan from Ibadanland and the former governor of Oyo State, Chief Rashidi Ladoja, congratulated Makinda and his family on the death of their mother.

In a statement released yesterday to reporters, Ladoja’s public relations assistant Alhaji Lanre Latinvo called the former governor not only loving but also exemplary.

Likewise, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Oyo Adebo Ogundoin, expressed his condolences to the Governor on the death of his mother. Ogundoin described Makinda’s mother’s death as shocking, painful and painful, saying that the loss was enormous.
