The head curator of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, again demanded the immediate release of Liya Sharibu from her captors.
In a statement personally signed by the priest, he called on all RCCG pastors and all well-meaning people around the world to step up their prayers and efforts to release him.
Mr. Adeboy has instructed all parents and people of goodwill around the world to use all the influence they have to secure the immediate release of Leah Sharibu and the other children in captivity.
On 19 February 2018, 110 female students were abducted by the Boko Haram terrorist group of the State Women’s College of Science and Technology, Dapchi, in Yobe State, Nigeria. Five girls are reported to have died on the day of the abduction. While all the other girls were subsequently released after some negotiations, only Leah Sharibu remained with the kidnappers and has been in their custody ever since.
