Federation Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami said he had nothing to do with Lawrence Ojodo, one of the suspects arrested for invading Judge Mary Odili’s home.

The suspect, Lawrence Ajodo, was paraded by police Thursday along with 13 other people.

He claimed to work as a consultant for the AGF office.

However, police said their investigations revealed that “there is no involvement” of AGF office officials in the raid.

Ojodu and the other suspects, police said, “are stray rockets” who have falsified “different documents” and committed their “crimes under false representations”.

According to a statement signed by a spokesman for the AGF office, Umar Gwandu, the case of Ajodu is that of “ a drowning man looking for a dying partner. “

The Office of the Honorable Federation Attorney General and Minister of Justice was lured on confession of a suspect during interrogation as part of the investigation into the recent invasion of the respected Supreme Court judge’s residence; Justice Mary Peter Odili, ”the statement states.

“With all the competent and high-level professionals and capable human resources available at the disposal of the Honorable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, it only takes the imagination of evil minds to assume or think that the Honorable Attorney General of the The Federation and the Minister of Justice will go so low that they will hire a charlatan or a fake police officer as their advisor.

“This is the case of a man who is drowning in search of a dying partner. We are pleased to note that investigations have begun to reveal the circumstances and personalities behind the invasion and the sponsored slander campaign against the Honorable Federation Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

“It is our desire and we hope that the investigation will also reveal those after the Honorable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, those who drag his personality, his name and his exalted position into the dirty politics of discredit. This is an orchestrated attempt to spark unnecessary controversy and public apprehension.

“We asked the suspect to submit engagement papers where he has worked as an advisor to the Federation Attorney General and Minister of Justice, both in the past and now.

“Consultant for what? What activity or assignment? When was he engaged? What were the terms of reference for the alleged advisory service? When was he engaged? Where was he engaged? What work did you carry out on behalf of the Honorable Attorney General of the Federation and the Ministry of Justice? For what duration? And for how long?

“We boldly and unequivocally challenge the false police officer / counselor to present the answers or answers to these questions to the public.

“The Honorable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice oversees and respects the rule of law that will do nothing to undermine the sanctity of his office and that entire judicial and judicial sector.”
