Amara, a Nigerian LGBT activist, says #EndSARS protesters rejected her and other queer people after joining the Abuja protest

Amara said their posters were torn down and their rainbow flag was captured by protesters who refused to allow them to wave them.

Amara, a staunch lesbian and gay rights activist, said she and her queer friends were rejected by protesters after joining an ongoing rainbow flag and #EndSARS protest in Abuja.

Amara said their posters were torn down and their rainbow flag was also captured by protesters who prevented them from waving them.

He tweeted;

“A woman was carrying a rainbow flag, and our fellow demonstrators turned against us at the Berger roundabout in Abuja. they tore down our signs and confiscated the flag. I got it back, but they refused to fly. I wore it around my neck and they refused. he said: either we shoot or we leave. I go out”
