Amotekun arrested two armed juvenile shepherds and kidnapped 200 cows in Ondo
On Tuesday, Ondo’s state security network, code-named Amotekun Corps, captured about 200 cows and arrested two juvenile shepherds.

Cows and herders were arrested on the Ijare / Irese road in the Ifedore metropolitan area in the state.
The stolen cows and herders were later transported from where they were arrested to the security headquarters in Akura, the state capital.
The movement of cows along the Orita Obele Road Block Ilesha Garage through Oemekun Road caused growls in the traffic as people waved at the courage of the Amotekun Corps.
Confirming the incident, the state’s Amotekun corps commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, said cows and herders were arrested for violating a directive from the state government.
Adetunji, who spoke on the phone, said that what happens in the current situation will depend on the government.
“The current incident was different. People shouted at us that cows ruin crops. When we transferred our people to this place, the shepherds attacked our people.
“However, we were able to suppress them. We arrested two pastors. They violated the government decree in three ways.
“The shepherds arrested by us are minors. At night they grazed, carried firearms and destroyed crops.
“The question was different from the previous ones. If it was the destruction of crops, it could be said that they would have to pay for the destroyed crops and free the cows. This is not a straitjacket, ”Adele said.
