An armed robber was caught who attacked the faithful who returned from the crossing to serve in the rivers (photo)

A notorious armed robber fell into the hands of the security forces in Rivers.

An armed robber and his gang were found to have allegedly chased and robbed supporters in Okporo in Rumuodara, Obio / Akpor local government area in Rivers State.

He was arrested by a state vigilante.

The suspect, named Ndubuisi Igwe, aka SS chief, and his gang allegedly robbed loyalists returning from Crossover service early Friday morning, January 1, 2021.

The president of the Rumuodara Youth Association, Comrade Frank Nzube Vel, who confirmed the incident, said that he received a distress signal regarding the incident and immediately mobilized Vigilante members in the area.

“Arrival at the scene. The suspects, armed with AK-47 assault rifles, opened fire to scare them and fled.

The suspect was detained on the spot after members of his gang, who were with an AK-47 machine gun, managed to escape.

The suspect was transferred to Okporo Police Station in Rumuodara. A local-made pistol with two cartridges was confiscated from him.
