Armed men broke into the home of Professor UNIJOS, Kdinapa, she and her husband

The Jos University professor was abducted along with her husband.

The professor, named Grace Ayanbimpe, teaches at the Department of Medical Microbiology at Jos University.

PUNCH learned that the professor had been abducted early Monday morning along with her husband by gunmen who broke into their home outside Huske, Lamingo, in the Jos North local government area.

Community resident Philip Dachung confirmed the incident to our correspondent in Jos on Monday.

Dachung said, “The kidnappers came to their home at about 2 am. They broke into their apartment and fired into the air. The neighbors, frightened by the sound of gunfire, could not go outside for fear of being hit by stray bullets.

“So, this morning we learned that the militants had taken away the professor and her husband. We are not where we are now. “

The Jos University staff member who also confirmed the incident said, “This morning we received information that Professor Grace Ayanbimpe of the Medical Microbiology Department was abducted from their home along with her husband.

“Please pray for their quick and safe release from their kidnappers. We also see the end of insecurity in our country. ”

Jos University’s head of medical microbiology, Dr. Mark Okolo, declined to talk about the incident when contacted by our reporter.

In addition, the representative of the command of the state police, Ubah Ogaba, promised to return to our correspondent when contacted.
