Avujale of Ijebu, Sikiru Adetona denies making a statement on Sunday Igboho
Avujale and Ijebuland’s supreme ruler Oba Sikiru Adetona denied making any statements in support of Mr. Sandi Adeyemo (Igboho )’s fight against the Fulani shepherds who terrorize some Yoruba communities in the southwestern region of the country.

The monarch, in a statement released Saturday by his personal assistant, Tunde Oladunjoy, said the statement did not come from him.
The statement says: “Aafin Avujale’s attention was drawn to popular fake news on social media, which quoted our esteemed royal father, Oba Alayeluwa, Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR JP, Ogbagba II, Avujale and the supreme ruler of Ijebuland, who issued a statement on the current situation in some countries … refers to Mr. Sunday Igboho.
“Aafin Avujale categorically denies that Kabiesi Alayluva ever made such a statement or commented on this issue.
“As you all know, Kabiesi Alailuwa is a great patriot and always fully supports the progress, development and aspirations of the Yoruba. However, it should be clarified that the declaration attributed to him is “fake news”.
“This is a statement of principle that no one has the right to post anything on the news on our behalf without our knowledge and consent.”
