Bandits killed 6 Nigerian soldiers in Katsina
A bloody clash with bandits killed at least six Nigerian soldiers. Many others were injured during a rally in the Faskari Marabar Maigora district in Katsina state.

The bandits also took weapons and ammunition from the dead officers. According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the incident occurred at around 8:20 am Sunday as Nigerian forces tried to block the bandits at their checkpoint in the bushes.

The source said the soldier was rescued by a Nigerian Air Force fighter that dispersed the bandits.
On Sunday, the Nigerian military announced that Operation Hadarin Daji troops had killed at least 50 bandits in the village of Curia in the Kaura Namoda local government area in Zamfara, the defense headquarters said.
The defense headquarters also said that during the meeting, the military also confiscated 334 cattle from the bandits.
