Bandits steal Obafemi Avolovo’s glasses from his statue |
Bandits from Lagos took off his glasses by removing glasses from the statue of the late Obafemi Avolovo, located in the Ikea area of the state.
Recall that the monument to Nnamdi Azikwa was also attacked by thugs in Anambra state.
The statue of Awolovo was erected during the reign of the former governor of Lagos, Akinwumi Ambode, in recognition of the late former lawyer for his nationalist contribution to the country’s democracy.
