Bandits Storm Umakhi’s Hometown and Set Fire to Police Station |
Tensions are currently underway in Uburu, the hometown of Governor David Nweze Umaha, after crime suspects set fire to a police station in the area.
Speaking to IGBERE TV, a local resident said that thugs had stormed the area from Amasiri, Onitsha, Okpozi and another village to cause chaos.
A local woman who wants her name to be printed noted that the village youth were able to chase the thugs away before they could cause more chaos.
Umahi is from Uburu, Ohaozar Local Government District in Ebony State.
IGBERE TV reported that Governor of Umaha imposed a 24-hour curfew yesterday after suspected criminals attacked two different police stations in Ebony state.
Several police officers were injured during the attack.
The EndSARS protests that shook the country were taken over by thugs, sparking panic attacks.
On Tuesday evening, security personnel opened fire on unarmed #EndSARS protesters and killed many people.
