“Based on the way Lekki was filmed on social media, I thought we would have at least 1,000 bodies,” Vice President Wasiu Sunny.

Wasiu Sann

Wasiu Sann, Deputy Chairman of the Lagos State Chamber, spoke about how information about the shooting at unarmed demonstrators at the toll collection point in Lekki was published on social media.

Speaking at a home plenary session, Wasiu said powerful personalities aggravated and accelerated the destruction of Lagos. He also stated that, just like the way the shooting of Lecky was posted on social media, he thought there would be at least 300 or 1000 corpses.

Continuing his presentation, Sunny expressed his satisfaction that several other social media users were able to question the claims of death during the shooting at Lecky. He also called for the creation of a commission of inquiry to ensure that the investigation is conducted and the healing is brought to the attention of the state.
