Because now I oppose Buhari – Speak Dele Momodu

Dele Momodu, a 2011 presidential candidate, revealed his reasons for opposing the president, Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retired).

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Momodu said that Buhari’s style of government is horrible, which has made Nigeria regress.

“My opposition to Buhari today is nothing personal. He’s nice when you meet him, but his administrative style is awful.

“His government has brought Nigeria back to the stone age. We have never been so divided.

“The economy is shaky, while insecurity is at its worst in an alleged peacetime.

The veteran reporter also said how he got into politics despite not joining a political party. In 2015, Momodu worked with Buhari as part of the All Progressives Congress party.

However, Momodu supported the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party, saying the party is the solution to the country’s current challenges.

“[The] The PDP is the only political practice available within which a serious opposition can hope to sack the APC giant and send it back wherever it comes from, ”he wrote.
