Benue Govt declares Friday a non-working day for harvest
The Benue State government again announced Fridays as State Unemployment Days so that government employees can harvest their agricultural produce.
Unemployment Day, according to the state government, starts from November 6 to January 29, 2021, and normal weekly work hours will resume on February 5, 2021.
This development was intended to enable government officials to harvest their agricultural products.
According to the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Ms. Ngunan Addingi, “declaring Fridays as jobless days contributes to the state’s food security.”
The governor always announced Fridays for government officials during planting and harvesting.
