Boko Haram publishes a video in which the preacher was kidnapped on Christmas Day in Kaduna after the murder of 7 more people (photos)
A video was released in which Kaduna, President of the Pentecostal Brotherhood of Nigeria, Apostle Ego Bako Bulus, was kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorist group.
Twitter user @bulamabukarti, sharing the sad news, wrote:
“Today the Shekau faction in BH published a video with the evangelist Bulus, whom they abducted after killing 7 people in Pemi on Christmas Eve. On the same day, they kidnapped 40 lumberjacks in Wulgo Forest after killing three people. It is reported that they are currently attacking 3 villages in Borno.
Shekau does this in order to prevent the Christmas of Christians. Unfortunately, unarmed civilians are at the mercy of one of the most violent terrorist groups on earth. They are killed and kidnapped, and their property is destroyed, as if they were not human. Governments need to do more to protect Nigerians. ”
Nigerians have complained that the federal government doesn’t care when terrorists attack and kill innocent Christians in the north.
Also condemning the kidnapping, President of the Pentecostal Brotherhood of Nigeria PFN in Criss River State Dr. Lawrence Ekwok called the kidnapping of the Apostle Ego Bako on Christmas a heartless and evil act.
“The situation in which preachers of the gospel of Jesus Christ were targeted by kidnappers seeking blood soaked with money to kidnap a minister on a day recognized worldwide as a day of peace and joy must end.”
He said that the threat of kidnapping and armed robbery had become too alarming, and all people of goodwill should join forces to eradicate it from society.
He warned that “the apostle Bako must be immediately released along with his wife and others safe and sound, so that the kidnappers do not incur the wrath of Almighty God.
“The security situation in the country today is dire and every effort must be made to immediately release the priest or God and other prisoners.”
Dr. Ekwok instructed the Kaduna state government and security agencies to ensure the immediate release of the minister.
