Boko Haram trains children, photo shared by HumAngle
A new video released by the Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram shows child soldiers undergoing religious training and fighting in the camp.
The images show relatively young children, dressed in combat clothing and balaclavas, participating in martial arts training, weapons training, and religious education.
At least two instructors and one child had what looked like an M21 Outpost, likely captured by Cameroonian security forces.
The Zastava M21, based on the Kalashnikov design, has appeared in previous images provided by Boko Haram factions or is rumored to have been discovered by security forces.
Some children were also shown various Kalashnikov assault rifles with folding, folding and stationary wooden butts.
16-minute and 40-second video clips in Hausa and Arabic show religious education and indoctrination classes.
HumAngle reports that Boko Haram has occasionally featured generations of militants preparing to support the rebels.
Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa (ISWAP) staged a bloody uprising in northeastern Nigeria and Lake Chad, which killed at least 30,000 people and displaced more than 2 million people.
