Bukhari Appoints New NACA Chairman
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Bukhari has appointed a new Board Governor for the National AIDS Control Agency (NACA).
Senator Oladipo Olusoga Oduzhinrin, MFR, will now serve as the National AIDS Control Agency (NACA) chairman of the board, part-time for an initial four-year term.
The appointment is effective from October 6, 2020. Prior to his appointment, Senator Oduzhinrin served on the board of the National AIDS Agency in 2018. He was promoted to Chairman of the Board when the former President of the Agency, Her Excellency Mrs. Pauline Tallen, was appointed Minister of the Federal Republic. Aujinrin holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Lagos and a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, Massachusetts, USA.
A seasoned lawyer, politician and philanthropist, Senator Oladipo Olusoga Oduzhinrinn has served the nation in various fields.
He was a Senator for the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1983. In addition, he was the head of many government agencies in various positions, including President of Nigerian General Insurance Company Limited (1967-68), President of Federal Polytechnic Institute of Nasarawa since April 2013. 2015. He was also President of the Association of Plastics Industries in Nigeria (APMIN) and Board Member of Obafemi Awolowo University Hospital from 2005 to 2007.
Distinguished Senator and National Fellow of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) was also a member of the Housing Planning Subcommittee at the 2015 President’s inauguration.
He has held various political positions and has served on Governor Ogun’s Advisory Council of Elders from 2019 to the present. The distinguished Senator and Chairman of the NACA Board of Directors is a professional member of the Nigerian Bar Association, an associate member of the American Bar Association and a member of the International Bar Association.
His passion for returning to society has been his motivation for founding charities and participating in many community development initiatives. He is the founder of Senator Dipo Oduzhinrin’s Foundation (SENDOF) and heads the Tosin Anibaba Memorial Fund (TAMFUND).
The distinguished senator is married and has children and grandchildren.
