Campaigning as an angry mob sets fire to a truck for the murder of Barrow Pusher in Onitsha (photos)
In Anambra State, a trailer for the Dangote Group caught fire.
The trailer was set on fire by an angry mob after a driver was run over and killed by an unidentified mound dealer in the Upper Iveka area of Onitsha, Anambra state.
DAILY POST reported that in the incident around noon, a crowd rushed into the driver and beat him to hell, but was rescued by other well-meaning people who allegedly turned him over to the police.
The truck with registration number Kano-KRY 294XA did not go unpunished, however, as the crowd immediately set it on fire after the driver was rescued.
Attempts to obtain confirmation from the Director of Street Lighting at the Anambra State Command of the Federal Highway Traffic Safety Corps, Mr. Kamal Musa, were unsuccessful as his telephone line was not available.
