Clashes of cult groups in Lobia, Bayels, Five Dead, including a child (graphic photos)
Five people, including a child, were killed in a shootout between two rival cult groups in the Lobia community in the South Ijo local government area in Bayelsa state, NaijaCover Reports reported.
A spokesman for the Asinim Buswat State Police, who confirmed the incident, said four cultists were killed in an early morning clash on Monday, December 28.
NaijaCover News Crew picked up that two allegedly unleashed cult groups from the Ukubi and Azuzuama communities clashed during a commemoration ceremony for the community leader Lobia II over a conflict that cannot be immediately established.
According to community sources, a child, allegedly the son of one Mr. Amos, a native of Lobia I., was wounded by a stray bullet. Three of the dead are from Ukubi and one is from the Azuzuama communities.
“Two rival cult gangs clashed in the Lobia community, South Ijo Local Government District, on December 28, 2020 at approximately 2:30 am,” SP Butswat told SP.
“In an accident, four cultists were killed. Their identities have not yet been established. The bodies were handed over to the morgue. The investigation has begun. ”He added.
