COVID-19 Kills 200 ECWA Supporters

The Winning All Evangelical Church (ECWA) said yesterday that the COVID-19 pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 200 supporters of its mission and asked Nigerians to be careful not to contract the virus.

The President of the Church, Rev. Dr. Stephen Panya Baba, opened this during the funeral service for Mr. Yakubu Abiri Qadia at the Kent Academy, Miango, Lower Plateau Local Government District.

Baba, represented at the event by the church’s deputy secretary general, Rev. Samuel Atu, described the speed with which the mission’s loyalists were dying from the virus as sad and unhappy.

He also described the late Cadia as a rare gem who had been engaged in God’s work throughout her life. He encouraged his children to follow in their father’s footsteps.
