Crisis obalende: police restore normalcy, arrest 6 people

The command used resources to disperse and suppress the thugs inciting unrest in the Obanland area in Lagos state. Normalcy has been restored in the area.

Based on initial findings, the crisis that occurred today, Thursday, February 11, 2021, was among the transport unions in the area and no one was killed.

Six (6) criminal suspects were arrested and transferred to the Criminal Investigation Office, Panti, Yaba State, for covert investigation.

Lagos State Police Commissioner Hakim Odumosu warned that the command will not tolerate lawlessness and crime in the state. However, he ordered the commander of the A Lion Building Area, ACP Bode Ojajuni, to intensify efforts to drive the thugs out of the area and on the island of Lagos in general, using available resources to govern the area.

However, the leaders of the transport unions in the area were invited for questioning and further action.
