Dennis Amahri: Senator’s aides summon thugs who attack #EndSARS protesters

Dennis Amahri, former deputy director of the Department of Public Services (DSS), says the unnamed senator’s aides have summoned thugs to attack citizens protesting police brutality in Abuja.

In the video, which has since gone viral, men in black suits were seen in an off-road vehicle (SUV) picking up criminals and taking them to protesters.

The video was filmed along the Adetokounbo Ademola Spit at Vuza 2 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Many believed they were DSS employees.

But in an interview with Sunrise Daily, the channel’s TV show, Amahri said DSS headquarters had confirmed to him that the people who helped the thugs were working for the senator.

“I don’t want to follow the army style of saying that people can buy uniforms, put them on and go out. If you wear a dark suit and tie and drive a black SUV, a lot of people will say it’s DSS, but I really asked about it, ”he said.

“I called the office to inquire. These people worked for a particular senator. And if so, I think they should (arrest). If anyone tries to impersonate security personnel, they should be arrested immediately.

“Don’t let that happen and then go ahead and then investigate or commission or whatever.

“I know many people who pretend to be CCC, who bring letters to different places, were arrested and immediately treated. The people you are talking about were not SGB officers. “

Since then, the DSS has denied rumors of what exactly his agents saw in the viral video.

“The point is, no DSS personnel will be involved in activities like those perpetrated by these hate speech traffickers and orators,” said Peter Afunai, a spokesman for the secret police.
