Do not interfere with the situation with Osiomhol, – replies the Edo APC Philip Shaibu.
The Edo State All Progressive Movement Division of Congress has called on Lieutenant Governor Philip Pucka to keep former APC national president Adams Osiomholle out of his legal situation, while urging him to provide evidence at the request of the court.
This was announced on Monday by the MP from the party Jarrett Tenebe.
PUNCH said Puck warned Osiomhola not to undermine the will of the people, adding that the former governor will have to abandon a plan to reverse Governor Godwin Obaseki’s victory in the September 2020 governor election through the judiciary.
Reacting on Monday, Tenebe said Osiomholle has no time to try to undermine the will of the people through the judicial system.
“I will describe the Deputy Governor as a frustrated and bewildered man who speaks with both sides of his mouth and is eager to survive.
“Oshiomholle fully believes in the judicial system, whose warrant was stolen through the courts,” he added.
He accused the governor and his deputy of blackmailing the judiciary for their failure to present their certificates, but instead he led to unfounded appeals from one court to another.
Tenebe added that the new tactics of the governor and his deputy were not only a distraction, but also a deliberate attempt to drag the hard-earned reputation of noble judges into the mud.
Stressing that he should not have commented on the issue in a court of competent jurisdiction, he nevertheless said that he must weigh the issue so that the state government does not provide the public with incorrect information.
