Duoye Diri honors Ebizi Eradiri, the first Graduate of the First Class of the NDU Law School
Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri announced on Monday that Ebizi Eradiri will be awarded scholarships to pursue Masters and Doctorate degrees from any university in Nigeria or overseas, Igbere TV reported.

Ms. Eradiri is the first graduate of the first grade of the Niger Delta University (NDU) State School of Law, a feat that she repeated at the Nigeria Law School.
The governor’s chief spokesman Daniel Alabra said the governor also offered his job to lecture at the NDU Law School after his studies.

He said the governor made a job offer by officially hosting the young lawyer and his father Bolupaye Eradiri at the Government Palace in Yenagoa.
Diri assured her of the support of the state government in advancing her educational career at any university of her choice, anywhere in the world.

He said:
“With this announcement, an automatic grant for Barr. Eradiri Masters and Doctorates, which will not be limited to Nigerian universities, but will be available at any university anywhere in the world.
“As a visitor to the NDU, I also order that she be automatically assigned to conference work.
“You have the support of your family and your government to soar higher because what you have achieved is just the beginning.”
Diri, who also named Eradiri as the new face of little girl Bayels, said the gesture is intended to make her a role model for girls in the state and all Ijau people.
He also dismissed speculation, especially on social media, that his administration decided to honor Nanga Hampson from the latest episode of Big Brother Naija by refusing to acknowledge Eradiri as a blatant lie.

“Today put an end to speculation, especially in the new media, about our refusal to honor Barr. Eradiri while we honored Nangi with the glory of Big Brother Niji. This is a blatant lie, ”he said.
