Emoni receives Senator Equunife at his luxurious home in Anambra
Five Star Group CEO and renowned philanthropist, Supreme Leader Emeka Okonkwo, commonly known as e-money, received Senator Uche Equunife (Ioma) at his luxury home in Uli, Ichiala Local Government District, Anambra State, and pledged to support his government ambitions.
The billionaire businessman received Senator Equunife in line with his conviction that Anambra deserves a governor who can meet the country’s development needs.
On the occasion, attended by many prominent leaders of the Uli community, such as the Honorable Ossi Igbonvelundu, The Honorable Simeon Ohajianya (Okeozi Uli), popular artists and successful businessmen, Equunife, who is one of the main contenders for the governor’s office. Anambra governorate elections in 2021 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform confirmed that the upcoming governorate poll offers the Anambrarians the opportunity to appoint a governor who understands the state’s political and development needs. He said Anambra cannot afford to appoint a governor who is unable to take the bold steps needed to change the state’s economy.
Ekwunife also reaffirmed its commitment to local government financial autonomy and community development. He reiterated that he would hold local elections during his year in office and ensure the simultaneous development of the LGA. He also emphasized his determination to create a favorable investment environment in the state.
Speaking further, Senator Equunife urged his master and other successful enambrarians to take an interest in the state’s political system to be part of the choice of political leaders in the southeastern states.
In their reaction, the guest, who was in the company of his older brother and popular musician, Kingsley Chinwake Okonkwo (Xi), assured Senator Equunife of his full support ahead of the provincial vote. They said her past and precedents make her a candidate for the upcoming governorship elections and pledged support for her ambition to become the next governor of the state.
