Human rights organization, International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), said it had confirmed the killing of at least 50 people and 80 more were injured during and after the EndSARS protest in the Oyigbo local government area in the State of Rivers.
Intersociety President Emeka Umeagbalasi, in a statement, accused Governor Nyesoma Vike of assisting the military in killing Oyigbo residents between October 21 and November 4, 2020.
He argued that the killings were so prominent that the bodies of those killed were littered with bushes and roadsides, some of them buried shallow or left to rot, while others were collected by their relatives.
