EndSARS: Akwa Ibom Government Imposes Curfew
Due to violent demonstrations by some people disguised as #EndSARS protesters trying to create chaos today, His Excellency the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has imposed a curfew in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State. effective from 21:00 today Thursday, October 22, 2020 until tomorrow at noon Friday, October 23, 2020.
This action is being taken to protect the life and property of citizens and restore law and order in our state. During this curfew, traffic will be completely discontinued, with the exception of major service providers who must provide valid identification.
We urge all law-abiding citizens to stay at home during the curfew.
