EndSARS: Former President Wannabe Adam Garba Says $ 1 Billion Lawsuit Against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey; He asks court to shut down Twitter in Nigeria
Former presidential candidate Adam Garba has filed a $ 1 billion lawsuit in the Abuja Federal High Court against Twitter and its founder, Jack Dorsey, in connection with the ongoing #EndSARS protest in Nigeria.
The APC politician clashed with Dorsey shortly after backing the #EndSARS protest last week.
Adamu asks the court to force Jack to pay the Nigerian government $ 1 billion in compensation for all damage caused by the #EndSARS protest.
He also asks the court to force Jack to open a Twitter office here in Nigeria. He argued that Jack and the others’ big plan is to overthrow the current government. He asked the court to force the Nigeria Communications Commission to shut down Twitter and prevent it from working in Nigeria’s cyberspace.
In a conversation with reporters in the courtroom, Adam said that the lawsuit against
Jack Dorsey, owner of Twitter and Twitter International as a company, for actively sponsoring and supporting the # EndSARS movement by encouraging funding for this movement, which has led to a major disaster for this country. I’m sure many of you are aware of what is happening.
We are now having several unrest in the country, so many lives and property are being destroyed, and therefore we ask Jack Dorsey to come and pay the government of Nigeria $ 1 billion in compensation for all the damage he caused to this country, and more. we knew exactly what scenario they were playing in other countries when they intervened using their social platform.
So because of his gross abuse of privilege, because it is a platform that the most gullible Nigerians have joined and actively sponsored and supported, he went ahead and tweeted that people should donate to a Bitcoin account, an account. which cannot be traced back to us.
The final game is to overthrow the democratically elected government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and therefore, as a patriotic citizen, I cannot wait for our country to degenerate like Libya … as we now saw in Egypt when it demands that it become a graveyard.
We cannot allow such damage to occur in Nigeria, and so we are here to ask him to make sure he meets the conditions to come and pay the Nigerian government a billion dollars to repair all the damage he is doing to this country. ” …
Going further, Adam said
To continue working on the Nigerian Internet space, he must open a company in Nigeria, hire labor, pay local taxes, and inform the respondent’s authorities of all the troubles and bad deeds that occur on Twitter.
