#EndSARS: Pastor Arrested on Kogi Warehouse Robbery Charges |
Nigerian President Muhammadu Bukhari has been warned that the blood of innocent Nigerians killed by soldiers last week demands justice.
Obi Ezekvesili, a former presidential candidate and minister, announced this on his Twitter page on Tuesday.
Recall that some demonstrators were killed during the End SARS protest at the toll collection point in Lecchi in Lagos state.
He tweeted: “It’s been 7 days since #LekkiTollGateProtest #BlackTuesday when @HQNigerianArmy shot our unarmed #EndSARS protesters.
“The blood of dead citizens demands justice, @MBuhari.”
His tweet came after Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday admitted that the Nigerian army ordered the execution of SARS protesters at a toll station in Lekki on Tuesday.
Speaking Monday on CNN, Sanwo-Olu said the footage in his possession showed the Nigerian military ordered the shooting.
But earlier, the Nigerian military denied the presence of their soldiers at the scene of the accident.
The Nigerian military also said the viral footage of the shooting was “photoshopped”.
