RESISTANCE TO ALL FORCED AND REACTIVE ELEMENTS WITH: IGP ORDINI AIG, CP.

Inspector General of Police, IGP MA Adamu, NPM, mni ordered the deployment of all legal forces to protect the lives and property of citizens, including police officers and other law enforcement officials and their families. and to prevent attacks on the private / public property of any aggressive person or group (s) acting in any form.

The PGI reiterates that Police Commissioners and their Assistant Inspector General of Police must immediately resist all insurgent elements and checkmate any form of violent / violent protest in accordance with sections 33 (1) and (2). ) The Federal Constitution. Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) which, inter alia, provides for the use of reasonably necessary force
a) to protect any person from unlawful violence or to protect property;
b) make a lawful arrest or prevent the escape of a lawfully detained person; or
c) for the purpose of suppressing an uprising, insurrection or insurrection.

PGI says the Force will not tolerate a repeat of the horrific attacks and killings, arson, arbitrary destruction and looting of public and private assets, as witnessed by recent violent protests in parts of the country. Warns that the Force will use full force of law and legal force (if necessary) to prevent recurrence.

As a reminder, following the ENDSARS protests and related acts of violence, a total of fifty-one (51) civilian casualties and thirty-seven (37) civilian casualties were reported, and a total of twenty-two (22) police officers were killed. terrible and twenty six (26) people were injured by protesters.
