#EndSARS, SWAT: The Nigerian army is sending a message to the protesters, Bukhari says.

The Nigerian military said it was ready to defend the Nigerian at all costs, while urging protesters to refrain from doing so.

Nigerian protesters across the country were ordered to refrain from participating in the Nigerian army.

As a reminder, the #EndSARS protest lasted almost ten days, as Nigerians protested against police brutality and extortion.

In a statement, the army’s acting director of public affairs, Colonel Sagir Musa, who supported President Muhammad Bukhari, said that Nigeria’s democracy would be protected “at any cost.”

Stressing that the army is loyal to President Muhammad Bukhari, Musa said they “will deal with any situation that seriously affects Nigeria.”

According to Musa, “The Nigerian military wants to reassure law-abiding citizens that they are firmly committed to maintaining peace, security and protecting democracy in Nigeria.

“As a responsible and law-abiding organization, NA reaffirms its absolute loyalty and commitment to the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammad Bukhari and the country’s Constitution.

“NA hereby warns all subversives and troublemakers to refrain from doing so as it remains firmly committed to protecting the country and its democracy at all costs.”

The military threat follows ongoing protests against police brutality. Young Nigerians protested against the illegal actions of some police units.

The protest led to the dissolution of the special anti-robbery group, SARS, and the creation of a special weapons and tactics group, SWAT.
