Every armed bandit sent can kill 2000 people – Zamafra Govt

The Zamfara state government says its long dialogue with the bandits is working.

Commissioner for Security and Internal Affairs Abubakar Dauran said more militants presented weapons.

He spoke Tuesday at a joint press conference with the police at the state administration headquarters in Gusau. Anambra 360 reports

Daura commented on the leader’s banned weapons, Daudava and his followers surrendered on Monday.

“These 20 AK47s were delivered simultaneously by one gang of repentant armed bandits, and I can tell you that each of these weapons can kill 2,000 people,” he said.

Police Commissioner Yaro Abutu assured that the command will continue to support the government’s peace initiative.

He said that over the past months, the command has rescued many kidnapped victims and seized several weapons and ammunition from repentant militants.
