The Ministry of Information and Culture reacted after a newspaper claimed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, made a U-turn on the victims of the Lekki toll booth.

The minister has always insisted that no one died in the shooting at the Lekki toll booth on 20 October 2020.

The Lagos State Judicial Inquiry Commission into the unfortunate incident delivered its report to the state government on Monday, November 15, in which it confirmed that some people died in the shooting incident and that the Nigerian police and military They are guilty of the murders. Many Nigerians have since been waiting for the minister to comment on the findings of the commission of inquiry. The information ministry via its Facebook page has denied claims that the minister has retracted his previous position.
