FCMB appoints Yemisi Edun MD as Deputy
First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has appointed an interim executive director and this is Ms. Yemisi Edun, executive director on the bank’s board of directors.
He succeeded Mr Adam Nuhu, who had stepped down from high office to allow an investigation into allegations of unethical behavior on his part.
He was accused of having a romantic relationship with a former employee of a financial institution, Ms. Moyo Tomas. The alleged romance reportedly produced two children.
Yemisi Edun holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, and an MS in Accounting and International Finance from the University of Liverpool, UK.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and holder of the CFA® Charter. He is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers; associate member of the Nigeria Tax Institute; Member of the Department of Audit and Control of Information Systems, USA; certified auditor of information systems.
He started his career at Akintola Williams Deloitte (member of Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu) in 1987, mainly focusing on corporate finance activities. He has also been involved in auditing banks and other financial institutions. She joined FCMB in 2000 as Head of Audit and Internal Control, and then became Chief Financial Officer of the bank.
