FEC approves 62.7 billion won for the construction of a road linking Kano and Katsina.

On Wednesday, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved N62 billion for the construction of the Kano-Gwarzo-Daiy road, which connects the states of Kano and Katsina.

Labor and Housing Minister Babatunde Fashola informed the State Chamber at the end of the FEC meeting chaired by President Muhammad Bukhari in the meeting room of the State Chamber in Abuja.

The briefing was also attended by the Minister of Health, Dr.

Fashola said: “The Ministry of Construction and Housing has submitted a memorandum for the construction of the Kano – Gvarzo – Daiyi road, and it has been approved in the amount of AD 62.7 billion, which should be completed within 24 months.”

For his part, Ehanir said the board has approved the introduction of platonic and managerial health records for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

He said the platform will help manage payments and claims as well as patient medical records to increase transparency and accountability.

The Minister said: “The Ministry of Health has submitted a memorandum on behalf of the National Health Insurance Scheme to introduce platonic medical records and management into a concept known as e-NHIS, creating an e-government platform.

“This will ensure engagement with all other stakeholders, including primarily government health insurance systems, health management organizations and hospitals that offer services to patients.

“It will be a platform for managing payments and complaints as well as patient records to ensure transparency and accountability.

“This is necessary because the primary health care fund is moving forward and will include a large number of registered people who will move from paper to e-governance.”
