FG cannot vaccinate Nigerians without research and scientific study of common types of COVID-19 in Nigeria – Dino Melai

Former Senator Dino Melay condemned the government’s decision to get the COVID 19 vaccine and introduce it among the people of Nigeria.

Dino Melai, in a video he shared, said that FG cannot give Nigerians a vaccine without research and scientific study of the COVID-19 strains common in Nigeria.

A former MP, who argued that coronavirus vaccines supplied to different countries around the world were made based on prevailing conditions, said it was a shame that the largest black country with over 150 universities and thousands of fundamental scientists could not develop its own vaccine.

He also wondered why 400 billion N could be used to import vaccines when Nigerian professors need less than 50 billion N for delivery.

It’s sad, shameful and embarrassing. Why can’t the biggest black country with over 150 universities and thousands of grassroots scientists develop its own vaccine? Why spend 400 billion naira on importing vaccines when our professors need less than 50 billion to deliver them !!! “
