FG will present toll points on 12 highways (complete list)

In an effort to ensure regular maintenance of its road network throughout Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Construction and Housing plans to transfer at least 12 federal highways to private management.

The agreement will allow private companies to establish toll stations on 12 highways and generate income that they will use and maintain on a regular basis.

This information is contained in a document that Vanguard received yesterday from the Federal Ministry of Labor and Housing in Abuja.

12 highways to be provided under the Ministry of Highway Management Development Initiative (HMDI): Benin-Asaba, Abuja-Lokoja, Kano-Katsina, Onitsha-Owerri, Shagamu-Benin and Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga.

Others: Kano Shuari, Potiskum Damaturu, Lokoja Benin, Enugu Port Harcourt, Ilorin Jebba, Lagos Ota Abeokuta and the Lagos Badagra Seme border.
