Former chief judge of Jigava died in a car accident, son survived
Former Chief Justice Jigawa Aminu Sabo Ringim is dead.
He died in an accident in the village of Shafar, the Ringim metropolitan area of the state.
The incident took place around 13:00 on Tuesday. His son survived.
Mr Adamu Shehu, Public Relations Officer, Jigawa Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Protection Corps (NSCDC) confirmed the incident to reporters in Duce.
“The accident occurred at about 13:00 on Tuesday in the village of Shafar in Ringim LGA after the victim, who was driving a Peugeot 206 from Duce to Ringim, lost control on a sharp bend on the Chaychay-Ringim road.
“There were two people involved in the incident, a former chief judge and his son,” Shehu said.
According to him, all the victims were taken to Ringim General Hospital, where it was confirmed that the former Chief Justice was dead.
According to a spokesman for the NSCDC, the son, who has received injuries of varying severity, is currently being treated at the hospital.
When contacted, Hajiya’s State Ministry of Justice spokesman Zainab Baba-Santali confirmed the incident and promised to release a statement shortly.
“The Ministry will immediately publish a statement regarding the deceased, namely the State Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General Dr. Musa Adamu, who returned from the burial.
