Governor Icpeazu congratulates Professor George Obiozor
The Governor of Abia State Dr. Okezi Ikpeazu sent a congratulatory message to newly elected President General Ohanese Ndigbo, Professor George Obiosor, on his victory in today’s elections in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
Governor Ikpeazu described the election of Professor Obiozor as a “watershed” in Igboland, judging by the overwhelming support he enjoyed in the election.
According to the Governor, “The election of Professor Obiozor comes at a time when the Igbo are desperate for strong and consistent leadership to give us a strong voice in national affairs. The pedigree of Professor Obiozor is indisputable and his records,
unapproachable. Its reach is wide and its integrity is solid. I am confident that thanks to his many years of experience in the civil service, in particular his competence in solving problems inherent in difficult diplomatic relations,
Professor Obiozor is well suited to address the challenges facing Igbo in a unified Nigeria. Governor Ikpeazu also warmly congratulates the rest of the new executive committee, Ohanese Ndigbo, especially the two sons of Abia State, Ambassador Okey Emuchai.
that there was a new general secretary and Dr. Kingsley Dosie Lawrence that there was a vice president of the organization. Governor Icpeazu encouraged them to be good state ambassadors to the organization.
The Governor assured the new leadership of Ohanese Ndigbo of the continued support of the people and government of Abia State in their office and thanked the late President General, Chief John Nniya Nwodo, for his services to the Igbo nation.
