A business woman identified as Alhaja Serifat Adisa and two 9-year-old children were killed by unknown gunmen in Ider, in the central municipal district of Ibarapa, Oyo state.
Alhaja Adisa, the managing director of the Subawa gas station, was killed on the Igbura / Idere road on Saturday evening, January 2.
According to the report, gunmen broke into a gas station and forcibly dragged the woman into the bushes, where she was later found dead at around 11 pm.
It became known that two boys and the mother of one of them were going to Ider from Igboura, where they had previously gone to celebrate the New Year with their relatives.
According to the man, who introduced himself as the boys’ uncle, the children and the woman were waiting for a commercial motorcycle at the gate of the Subawa gas station to take them to Idere.
After waiting a little, the woman decided to call her close relative, who is involved in commercial cycling in Ider, to come and take them home.
“While he was calling, one of the armed men who had already camped around the Subawa gas station noticed the woman calling and heard that she could have called the security personnel, so he shot directly at the woman. who was with two boys. The stray bullets hit only children and died instantly, and the woman fled into the bushes,“He said Ibarapa Parrot.
Subsequently, the militants kidnapped Alhaja Adisa. Sources said the kidnappers killed the woman when they learned that they were being followed by Amotekun security personnel.
Meanwhile, the two children were buried in tears, and the mother was admitted to a secret hospital in Igbour.
