Heartbreaking video of Jimo Isiak’s family demanding justice after being shot during the #EndSARS protest
The very distraught family of Isak Jimo, a young man who was brutally murdered during the #EndSARS protest in Oyo State, cried bitterly over his disappearance, demanding justice.
Father, mother, grandfather and little mother Jimo talked about the events leading up to his death.
His father said he did not protest and was just walking to his mother’s house when police started shooting at anti-SARS protesters and he was shot.
His mother said she called him immediately, found out there was a riot, and asked him to return home immediately.
The baby’s mother, Jimo, explained that he had only recently returned to ask her forgiveness for leaving her and their baby after she got pregnant and promised to be with them from now on. He said that he also apologized to his mother but did not keep his promises.
His grandfather argued that SARS agents are “thieves” and that you cannot have a “thief who arrests thieves.” He said SARS was the cause of his grandson’s death and must be eradicated. He added that he has no problems with the police because they are necessary and not as troublesome as SARS.
Isiak’s father Jimo said he knew the name of the officer who allegedly killed his son and expects justice to prevail. She explained that 3 bullets were removed from her son’s body during the operation, and four strangers donated blood in addition to the blood provided by family members for her son’s operation. Unfortunately, her son did not survive the operation, as he was bleeding heavily from the bullet wounds.
